SAKHI
Lack of access to menstrual hygiene products and facilities: Menstruating women and girls in India often face challenges in accessing menstrual hygiene products due to several factors such as a lack of agency among girls and young women, unavailability of hygiene products, poverty and social norms.
SAHARA
Thousands of impoverished elders do not even have access to two square meals and the means to meet their basic needs. Monthly rations of wheat, rice, pulses, cooking oil, and basic spices are provided, along with daily-use items such as detergent, soap, clothing, and some pocket money. Under this program, monetary support is often given to needy elders living in old age homes.
Who We Are
Millennium India is one of the country’s largest child-focused humanitarian organizations. Established in 2001 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai, Millennium has grown both in scope and geographical coverage.
With over two decades of grassroot experience, we employ proven, effective development, public engagement and relief practices empowering vulnerable children and communities living in contexts of poverty and injustice to become self-sufficient and bring lasting change. We serve all children regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender as a demonstration of Christ’s unconditional love for all people.
