Lack of access to menstrual hygiene products and facilities: Menstruating women and girls in India often face challenges in accessing menstrual hygiene products due to several factors such as a lack of agency among girls and young women, unavailability of hygiene products, poverty and social norms.
SAHARA
There are thousands of destitute elders who do not even have access to two square meals and the means to meet their basic needs. Monthly rations of wheat, rice, pulses, cooking oil and basic spices are provided along with daily use items such as detergent, soap, clothing and some pocket money is provided to elders in need. Under this program monetary support is often given to needy elders living in old age homes.

It is no secret that Indian education is in need of reforms, particularly from an infrastructural standpoint. One limitation that affects students, especially in rural areas, is the lack of access to reliable electricity. And, its ramifications on education are tremendous. Lack of electricity can affect multiple educational parameters, such as attendance, dropout rates and learning outcomes. Electrification efforts thus have the capacity to transform the state of rural education. Thus Millennium India is Donating LED BULB to slower down the impact of no electricity.

Millennium India is one of the country’s largest child-focused humanitarian organizations. Established in 2001 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai, Millennium has grown both in scope and geographical coverage.
With over two decades of grassroot experience, we employ proven, effective development, public engagement and relief practices empowering vulnerable children and communities living in contexts of poverty and injustice to become self-sufficient and bring lasting change.
