Help Us Save – Baby of Mrs. Amruta Rajendra Zargad
Dear Supporters,
We are reaching out to you with an urgent appeal that weighs heavily on our hearts—a plea to save the life of a fragile newborn battling severe health complications due to malnutrition and premature birth.
Mrs. Amruta Rajendra Zargad’s newborn baby boy, just 2 months old, is in a critical condition at KEM Hospital, Pune. Born with low birth weight (PT/LBW), respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and severe malnutrition, this tiny warrior weighs only 940 grams and is currently fighting for his life on a ventilator. His frail body is struggling to cope with the challenges of underdevelopment, and his parents are watching helplessly, unable to afford the medical care that could save him.
The treatment cost is estimated at ₹6,00,000, an amount far beyond the means of his parents, who are in desperate need of financial assistance. Without this life-saving intervention, the chances of survival for this innocent child are dwindling.
The Crisis of Malnutrition in India: A Silent Emergency
Malnutrition continues to be one of the biggest health crises in India, affecting millions of children every year. According to global health statistics, India accounts for one-third of the world’s malnourished children. Premature births, low birth weight, and poor maternal nutrition contribute significantly to this crisis.
Here are some alarming facts:
- Nearly 35% of Indian children under five years old suffer from stunted growth due to malnutrition.
- 17% of newborns in India are born with low birth weight, leading to severe health complications.
- Over 68% of infant deaths in India are linked to malnutrition and related health disorders.
Babies born with low birth weight are at a higher risk of infections, developmental delays, and life-threatening conditions such as respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)—a condition that affects premature babies who lack enough surfactant in their lungs, making it difficult for them to breathe.
Why Your Help is Urgently Needed
The battle against malnutrition and neonatal complications requires immediate action. While medical advancements have made it possible to save premature babies with specialized treatments, the financial burden on underprivileged families is immense. In this case, the baby’s parents are struggling to afford even the basic medical care, let alone the advanced NICU care, ventilator support, medications, and nutritional interventions needed to sustain his fragile life.
At Millennium Welfare Foundation, we believe that no child should lose their life due to lack of financial resources. We are reaching out to you—our generous and compassionate donors—to help us save this baby’s life and give him a fighting chance at survival.
How Your Support Can Make a Difference
Every contribution, no matter the size, can help cover essential aspects of this newborn’s treatment, such as:
-
Ventilator & NICU Care – ₹2,50,000
- The baby requires intensive ventilator support to sustain his breathing. NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) charges accumulate daily, making it the most critical and expensive aspect of his treatment.
-
Medications & Special Nutritional Support – ₹1,50,000
- Malnourished infants require specialized medical nutrition, immunoglobulins, and life-saving medications to help their underdeveloped organs function properly.
-
Respiratory Therapy & Monitoring – ₹1,00,000
- Continuous respiratory monitoring, oxygen therapy, and support from pediatric specialists are vital to his survival.
-
Parental Support & Post-Hospitalization Care – ₹1,00,000
- Once the baby is stable enough to leave the hospital, he will still require medical attention, special feeding programs, and continued follow-ups. Your donation can ease the financial burden on the family and help them ensure a healthy future for their child.
The Power of Collective Compassion
We often take for granted the privilege of good health and access to medical care. But for this 2-month-old baby, survival depends on the kindness of strangers—people like you, who believe in giving every child a chance at life.
Your donation is not just financial aid; it is a lifeline for a family on the brink of despair. It is a ray of hope for a mother who wants nothing more than to hold her healthy baby in her arms. It is a gesture of humanity that will leave a lasting impact, not only on this child’s life but on the fight against malnutrition in India.
At Millennium Welfare Foundation, we have witnessed the miracles that happen when a community comes together to support those in need. We invite you to be a part of this life-saving mission.
Thank you for your time, generosity, and belief in the power of kindness. Together, we can give this baby a chance to live, grow, and experience the love and warmth of his family.
