Help Us Save – Mast Atharva Swapnil Dorge
Dear Supporters,
We are reaching out with an earnest plea on behalf of a brave 6-year-old boy, Master Atharva Swapnil Dorge, who is battling a life-threatening condition: relapsed B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Atharva’s fight is one of courage and determination, but his family faces insurmountable odds in securing the necessary funds for his treatment.
Atharva is receiving care at the Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai, where a dedicated team of specialists is striving to save his young life. However, the cost of his treatment stands at ₹29,00,000—a sum that his parents, with an annual income of only ₹77,000, cannot possibly afford.
About Relapsed B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. It is the most common form of cancer in children, characterized by the rapid production of immature white blood cells, which crowd out healthy cells and lead to severe health complications.
For Atharva, this journey has been even more challenging as he is facing a relapse—a recurrence of leukemia after undergoing initial treatment. Relapsed ALL is more aggressive and requires intensive, costly treatment that includes chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and potentially a bone marrow transplant.
In India, the incidence of childhood cancers like ALL is rising, and access to timely treatment remains a significant challenge, especially for families from lower-income backgrounds. According to estimates, nearly 75,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year in India, but fewer than half receive adequate care due to financial and logistical barriers.
Atharva’s Story: A Family in Distress
Atharva’s parents, Swapnil and his wife, are grappling with the devastating reality of their son’s illness. Their income of ₹77,000 annually barely covers their daily living expenses, let alone the astronomical costs of cancer treatment. Despite their hardships, they have shown immense resilience and unwavering love for their son, doing everything in their power to ensure he receives the care he needs.
However, their resources are exhausted, and they now look to compassionate individuals like you to help bridge the gap between despair and hope.

Why Childhood Cancer Deserves Attention
Cancer in children presents unique challenges:
- Delayed Diagnosis: Many cases are diagnosed at advanced stages due to lack of awareness or access to medical care.
- Financial Strain: Treatment costs are prohibitive, pushing families into severe debt or forcing them to abandon treatment altogether.
- Long-Term Impact: Survivors often face lasting physical and emotional effects, underscoring the need for holistic care.
Through your support, we aim to not only save lives but also advocate for improved healthcare systems that address these challenges.

“We are doing everything in our power to save our son, but we cannot do it alone. Your kindness and generosity are our only hope. Please help us give Atharva the chance to grow up and live the life every child deserves.”
The Power of Compassion
